Editing active directory synchronization

To edit the connection and synchronization data, click on the “Edit synchronization” button in the overview page for the active directory synchronization and acknowledge the subsequent confirmation prompt with “OK”.

This will take you to the form view for entering your connection and synchronization data, where you can enter the appropriate data.

After successfully establishing a connection to your active directory, select the AD containers to be synchronized in the display of the AD directory structure and confirm your entries by clicking on the “Save” button.

After saving the data, you will then see a status page that informs you of the completion of the setup.

On weekdays, the synchronization setup will be concluded within 24 hours. You will be informed by email when the setup has been completed. From this point on, synchronized users are displayed with the addition of “[sync]” in the user management.

Note: If you deselect or fail to reselect previously synchronized containers when editing the synchronization data, all users in these containers will have their synchronization status withdrawn in Cloud Manager. However, these users will not be deleted!

Canceling active directory synchronization

To cancel active directory synchronization, click on the “Cancel synchronization” button in the overview page for the active directory synchronization and acknowledge the subsequent confirmation prompt with “OK”. After successful cancellation of the synchronization, all previously synchronized users will have their synchronization status withdrawn with no deletion of the users.
