Creating a distribution list

To create a new distribution list, click on the “Create distribution list” button in the overview of distribution lists.

You can then enter the required data for the distribution list. If you want to enable the reception of emails from a domain other than that of the distribution list, select the option “Externally accessible”. Please note that as the administrator, you can only select users that already have a mailbox assigned.

For each distribution list, a default email address is generated in the form “name@customerrootname.telekom-cloudcenter.de”. This email address will be displayed immediately after entering a name for the distribution list. Please note that you cannot change or delete this email address. Furthermore, this email address is also initially marked as the primary email address.

You can add further email addresses (aliases) by clicking on the “+” button. Here you can freely choose the local part (string before the “@” sign) and the domain part (string after the “@” sign). The drop-down list for the domain will only include previously verified domains for selection. You can identify an email address as the primary email address by clicking on the “P” button.

In addition, for externally accessible distribution lists you will then see further additional services as well as configuration options for the mailbox.

Finally, save your entries by clicking on the “Save” button.
