Access to your emails and Exchange data
The following help pages describe options for accessing your email or Exchange account (for appointments, contacts, tasks, and notes).
Access via the Outlook Web App (OWA) is possible with any current browser, but Microsoft Internet Explorer version 8 or later is preferred.
Any current email program that supports secure POP3 and IMAP4 connections can be used for access via POP3S and IMAPS. The mail services are most conveniently used with Outlook version 2007 or later. For the “Exchange L” mailbox type, all Exchange functions are provided by the server. On the other hand, for the “Exchange S” mailbox type only limited Exchange functions are available, which means that team functions for team calendars, the representation function, and recovery functions cannot be used when using the Outlook client.
The following descriptions are based on Microsoft Outlook 2016. The settings for the incoming and outgoing mail servers and other settings, such as the preferred protocols, should be applied accordingly when using other email programs. Advice and bug fixes are not included in the scope of services and support, however.
- Default settings for a client setup
- Central portal for your Exchange mailbox
- Setting up Outlook 2016/2013
- Setting up Apple Mail (Mac OS X)
- Setting up a secured IMAP account with Apple Mail on Mac OS X
- Managing a distribution list
