Default settings for a client setup

If you want to use the full functionality of your mailbox in addition to Outlook Web Access, you can use the Outlook client from version 2013. You can simplify the configuration of the Outlook client by using the “Autodiscover” function provided by us. If you want to use the function, you must make one of the two following configuration changes as an administrator:

Option 1:

Change of DNS

  • Creation of an autodiscover entry with the following information in all your DNS zones, e.g., yourcompanyname.de
    • Alias name: autodiscover
    • Fully qualified domain name (FQDN) for target host: autodiscover13.telekom-cloudcenter.de

Option 2:

Change in the HOSTS file

  • Add the following entry to your HOSTS file
    • 94.100.242.107 autodiscover.yourcompanyname.telekom-cloudcenter.de or/and (for all zones)
    • 94.100.242.107 autodiscover.yourcompanyname.de

In most systems, you will find the HOSTS file at this location: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc.

Otherwise the clients have to be configured manually.

Note: Your customer root domain, e.g., companyname.telekom-cloudcenter.de, as well as all domains newly registered or assigned via Cloud Manager, automatically have a corresponding entry in the DNS of the Telekom platform (CNAME), and this directs to autodiscover.telekom-cloudcenter.de. Thus no changes or adjustments to these domains are required on your part.
