Assign Email Protect Pro license

To assign an Email Protect Pro license to an individual user, select the desired user from the “Users” drop-down list. Then select the desired license type for the assignment from the “Product Type” drop-down list. Please note that you will only be offered users who do not yet have a license. To make user selection easier, you can filter the selection list by entering characters. To do this, simply type in the name of the desired user. The selection is immediately filtered based on your input.

In the email addresses area you can configure all email addresses belonging to the user or license. The first email address specified is automatically marked as the primary email address (main address). You can add additional email addresses (aliases) by selecting the “+” button. You can freely determine both the local part (character string before the @ sign) and the domain part (character string after the @ sign). In the domain selection list, you will only be offered mx-verified domains to choose from. By selecting the “P” button, you can designate an email address as the primary email address. In the “Mail Host” selection list, you specify the desired receiving mail host (mail system).

In the security area, you have additional setting options for the virus scanner used as well as additional options for the license. In the default setting you can choose between the virus scanners Sophos & ClamAV and CyrenAV & ClamAV as the first and second virus scanners. If you have a reserved quota for the third virus scanner, you can activate this option so that all 3 virus scanners (ClamAV, CyrenAV and Sophos) are used. As an alternative to the standard settings, you can also assign a security profile here. As additional options, in addition to email encryption and quarantine box, you also have options for using Virus Outbreak Detection and APT Protect Pro. Please note that you must have booked quotas (licenses) for these options.
