Editing domain data

To edit a domain, select the required domain and click on the “Edit” button (pencil icon) in the “Domain data” field.

In this dialog you can edit the type of product use. If the “Microsoft Exchange” option is activated, the domain can be used to send and receive emails depending on its verification status (MX record verified / verified). If the “E-Mail Protect Pro” option is activated, you can change the assigned mail host or add additional mail hosts. By selecting the Save button you confirm your entries.

Changing an MX Record

In the case of a newly registered or transferred domain, the MX records of the Telekom platform will be entered for this domain by default. You can change these MX records when editing the domain data.

You can store up to three MX records for your domain in the editing view. When doing so, you will need to specify both the host name and the priority for each MX record. If you want to reset the MX records to the default values, select the “Default” option. Confirm your entries by clicking on the “Save” button.

Please note that once you change the MX records, the domain concerned will no longer be able to be used to send emails with Microsoft® Exchange mailboxes if you use the domain in question for the email addresses of these mailboxes. This applies only if you change the entries of the default MX records. On the other hand, if you select the option to reset the MX records to the default values, your domain will automatically be “MX-record verified” and can be used to receive mail.
