Canceling a domain

To cancel a domain, call up the details of the domain in question, click on the “Cancel domain” button, and acknowledge the subsequent confirmation prompt with “OK”.

After the cancellation has been triggered, it must be confirmed by the domain holder to prevent misuse. To this end, the person specified as the domain holder receives an email with a confirmation link. The domain will only be canceled and returned to the respective registry (e.g., DENIC for “.de” domains) once the cancellation has been confirmed via this confirmation link. If the cancellation has been triggered in error, the domain holder can also revoke it via the confirmation link.


Domain return on contract termination

If you cancel your access to Cloud Manager (e.g., on canceling your Exchange contract), your registered domains will automatically be canceled. However, prior to the cancellation of your domains, you will be informed of their whereabouts by email and can choose to transfer them to another provider, for example.
