Site collections
You can create site collections for your organization regardless of the SharePoint version you have booked. A site collection is a collection of websites and forms the highest-level website of this collection. Below this site collection, further (sub)sites can be created directly in SharePoint.
You can manage SharePoint site collections for your organization via the “Site collections” menu item in the main navigation. When you select the menu item, all the site collections available for your organization are displayed.
You can get to the detailed view of a site collection by clicking on a site collection in the overview to select it.
The following functions are available to you on the overview page:
- “Create site collection” to create new SharePoint site collections
- “Delete site collection” to remove selected site collections
