A site collection is a collection of websites and forms the highest-level website of this collection. Below this site collection, further (sub)sites can be created directly in SharePoint.<\/p>\n<p>You can manage SharePoint site collections for your organization via the \u201cSite collections\u201d menu item in the main navigation.
