To assign a SharePoint license to a user, click on the \u201cAssign SharePoint license\u201d button in the overview of SharePoint users.<\/p>\n
Then select the required user for the license assignment in the \u201cUser\u201d drop-down list and the required SharePoint license type in the \u201cLicense type\u201d drop-down list. Finally, save your selection by clicking on the \u201cSave\u201d button.<\/p>\n
The \u201cEmail notification\u201d field contains the email address where the user will receive SharePoint notifications (if an alarm has been set, for example). You can edit this field only if the user has no Microsoft Exchange mailbox and has not been created as a mail-enabled user. Otherwise, the field will already be filled with the respective email address. If the user has no mailbox and has not been created as a mail-enabled user, you can specify an external email address in this field or modify an external email address already specified in the user details.<\/p>\n
Note: Once you have assigned a SharePoint license to a user, you need to give that user rights for the required site collection.
